The Pilates technique is a safe, low impact and effective method for physical wellbeing and maintenance. I offer one-to-one sessions with apparatus to truly immerse yourself in this versatile exercise.

If an ongoing issue requires a hands-on approach, I can provide massage therapy solutions, incorporating deep tissue work, fascial release techniques, cupping and facilitated stretches where appropriate. If you suffer from stress, anxiety, fears or phobias, a wellbeing session using techniques around tapping (EFT) and other strategies can guide you back to a healthier self.

After completing my training in London I have been teaching and mentoring clients in Pilates and wellbeing for over 20 years. Using an integrative approach, I offer a combination of movement knowledge and hands on manipulation to give my clients the highest support in achieving their goals. In my fully equipped studio, I provide my undivided attention in a relaxing and restorative environment.

My husband and I both work from home and have regular Pilates to make sure we don’t get too stiff from sitting down all day (we are not fans of the gym). Throw in a complication of preparing for a knee operation, Jo helps me strengthen the muscles to support the knee without causing further damage. I have gained strength and flexibility in all areas. Jo has also been giving massages in the problem zones and it’s surprising the difference this makes to relieving the strain caused by a problem joint. I am keen on Pilates and having Jo’s studio in her home makes the sessions very enjoyable and personal. I started Pilates with Jo a few years back when she taught mat work, but now in her studio she incorporates mat work and Pilates equipment, this works very well and I absolutely love doing this type of exercise, especially as I am now not so supple as I was years ago! Pilates definitely improves my mobility, and if there are any aches and pains I feel that they disappear much quicker having a stronger core!

Jo devised a personal Pilates programme which has helped me so that now I rarely experience neck pain. Jo regularly updates and adapts my programme so I am never bored.

Since then I have been going to a session with my husband to her studio every Monday.
